POLICY AND INSTITUTIONS

Session Chairs:
Mark Nechodom, PSW/USFS.
Dennis Machida, Tahoe Conservancy.

There will be a policy and institutions response speaker for each of the five plenary sessions. They will discuss how the science presentations in the session might be synthesized for applications in land and resource management. The speakers are:
  • Fire/Physical Processes Policy Response - Bill Stewart, California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (Invited)
  • Climate and Landscape Change Policy Response - Dave Schimel, NCAR, Boulder, CO
  • Forest Ecosystem Policy Response - Norm Johnson, Oregon State University (Invited)
  • Aquatic Ecosystems and Watershed Policy Response - Art Baggett, Chair, Sate Water Resources Control Board
  • Biodiversity Policy Response - Dennis Murphy, University of Nevada, Reno
