The Steering Committee for this year's NRCC has developed a program that focuses on the role of the various research stations managed by ANR in the general natural resource research, teaching, and extension program. The Research and Extension Center (REC), the UC Natural Reserve System (NRS), and various campus-based research stations and forests, each play important roles in ANR's natural resource programs. There are a wide variety of exciting programs taking place on these various research stations. The primary part of the meeting will center on various projects taking place on these units, and some of the innovative approaches to monitoring and management. There will be discussions of ways to better utilize these various research units in on-going natural resource programs within ANR, and explore coordination between managers and clients of these units.
