Competitive Grants Research Program

A competitive grants research program is available for both University of California and non-UC researchers to develop multi-year projects addressing ecologicalprocesses, management applications, and policy instruments to conserve hardwood rangelands. Approximately $150,000 is awarded annually to conduct research projects on priorities set by the IHRMP Advisory Committee.

Since the beginning of the IHRMP in 1986, 75 different research projects have been funded, resulting in over 150 new scientific articles that contribute to the base of understanding about hardwood rangelands.
