301     ACADEMIC PERSONNEL

The 300 series of the Administrative Handbook sets forth Division policies and procedures for academic appointees within the Division.

The 300 series covers all academic appointees in the Division, except academic appointees of campus-based programs, and of Statewide Special Programs and Projects (SSPP) that have been assigned to a campus. Those appointees are subject to campus personnel policies and procedures. Where policies and procedures are unique to Cooperative Extension (CE), they may be used as guidelines for campus-based appointees. The provisions of the University of California Academic Personnel Manual (APM) apply to all academic appointees in the Division. The 300 series supplements the APM. Should these policies conflict with any provisions of the APM, the latter shall prevail.
